The broadcast season begins Sunday, July 5, at 2:00 p.m. with the Boston Pops Orchestra featuring special guest, Bernadette Peters. All subsequent broadcasts begin at 2:30 p.m..
Tanglewood broadcasts can be heard on 88.5FM and and throughout the Berkshires on: 101.1FM (Adams/North Adams), 98.7FM (Great Barrington), 98.3FM (Lee), 106.1FM (Pittsfield/Lenox), and 96.3FM (Williamstown).
“There is no finer summer music experience than catching a concert from Tanglewood – in the shed, on the grass, on the radio,” says Cheryl Willoughby, NEPR’s Sunday Classical host. “I’ve always appreciated the festival’s commitment to contemporary music, and one of the performances I’m looking forward to is on August 2nd with trumpeter Håkan Hardenberger. He’s performing a concerto written for him, a work that had its American premiere during the past BSO concert season: Brett Dean’s brightly colorful Dramatis personae.”
