A handful of presidential candidates will pass through western Massachusetts in the next week.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton comes to Holyoke Thursday for a lunchtime fundraiser. This is rescheduled from July.
According to the invite, tickets run from $500 for the “friend” level to $2,700 for the “champion” level. Those who helped bring in other donations get extra perks like a VIP reception.
A couple days later, Clinton’s chief opponent currently for the Democratic nomination, Bernie Sanders, comes to town. The Vermont U.S. senator will hold a rally Saturday on the steps of Springfield’s City Hall. That event is free.
This past weekend, a less “household” of a name scheduled a visit to the region: Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein, a resident of Lexington, Mass. She was in Holyoke on behalf of a city council candidate.
