Connecticut Senator Joseph Lieberman on Monday faced his Republican and Democratic challengers in the first of three debates before the November 7th election. The debate in Stamford featured familiar jabs by Democratic nominee Ned Lamont over the war in Iraq and Senator Lieberman’s 18-year record on issues like health care and social security. But as WFCR’s Av Harris reports, the forum also featured a show-stealing performance by Republican Alan Schlesinger.
