UN Special Envoy Seeks Answers to Africa’s AIDS Pandemic
Twenty-eight million people in sub-Saharan Africa are currently infected with HIV-AIDS, according to U.N. estimates. But Stephen Lewis, the U.N. Secretary General’s Special Envoy on the issue believes the campaign to defeat the pandemic is not lost. His new book is called A Race Against Time: Searching for Hope in AIDS-ravaged Africa.
