Snow totals at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, are well above average this winter, and far ahead of last year. And forecasters are calling for a little more of the white stuff.
More than 22 inches of snow have fallen at Bradley so far this month, more than four times the normal amount. Since December 1, there’ve been 41 inches, ahead of the average by over a foot. This time last year only 15 inches had fallen.
Bill Simpson with the National Weather Service in Taunton, Massachusetts, said more snow may be on the way.
“We’re going to get an event on Wednesday or Thursday,” Simpson said. “Not nearly like the previous event, to be determined how much snow, might be a rain-to-snow mix. And then it looks like we’re going into a relatively quiet pattern through the end of February.”
This weekend, temperatures could get into the 40s across much of the region.
