This election season, we’re hosting a series of short debates on the four statewide ballot questions facing Massachusetts voters.
Today we look at Question 3. If passed, the measure would ban the sale in Massachusetts of meat or eggs from hens, calves and pigs that are caged or confined in a way that prevents them from moving around.
Joining us is Paul Shapiro, vice president of farm animal protection for the Humane Society. He’s representing Citizens for Farm Animal Protection, which put forward the ballot question. And in opposition, Diane Sullivan from Citizens Against Food Tax Injustice.
