  • Massachusetts Department of Transportation held hearings for western Mass. drivers to give input on the new toll system and to give input about where toll money will go. Did the hearings matter? (The Reminder)
  • Recent FBI data shows that in Holyoke, for example, the 2015 violent crime rate is the second lowest since 1997. But the number is still higher than national averages for comparably sized communities. Does the public care about this data? (MassLive)
  • Playoffs start next week in baseball. Do the Red Sox have what it takes to go all the way this year? And could it be a good distraction for those weary of  presidential politics? (Boston Globe)
