What made The Short List this week?

Two more justices will reach retirement age next year. This is giving Governor Baker and the current council substantial control over the court’s make up. Western Mass. will get a new member of the Governor’s Council next year, as Mike Albano is running instead for sheriff.
- The last couple of weeks there’s been a lot of mob news in Massachusetts, from the arrest of members of the Springfield Crew, to a murder charge for “Cadillac Frank” Salemme.
