Sixty-five years ago, a taxi pulled to a stop in front of the Drew family’s home in Easthampton, Massachusetts. There was no passenger. The driver had a message, a military telegram. It said the family’s 18-year-old son, Army Corporal Kenneth “Bobby” Drew, after only a few months serving in Korea, was missing in action. Larry Parnass, editor of the Daily Hampshire Gazette, has written about Bobby Drew’s disappearance. Parnass says the telegram, the mystery, and the loss remains with the Drew family today.
