A Pittsfield police officer is out of a job after he was accused of stealing at least $150,000 from police union bank accounts.
Pittsfield Police launched an internal investigation this summer into Officer Jeffrey Coco, at that time the police union president.
According to the report, Coco wrote checks to himself and his wife while other things, like dues to the national union, went unpaid for months.
Our attempts to reach Coco were unsuccessful, but the report says Coco told another officer he needed some of the funds to help pay for his wedding and would pay it back, something police say hasn’t happened.
Coco hasn’t been charged yet with any crime.
