As Massachusetts officials continue to address the state’s opioid crisis, Attorney General Maura Healey was in Springfield, Friday, meeting with about 150 students from the city’s middle schools. Healey says many of these students are leaders at home, and at school.
“Young people listen to young people more than they probably listen to adults, so it’s all the more important that we have young people talking to other young people about how to protect themselves.”
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health recently awarded almost $3-million in funding for cities and towns to expand the availability of substance abuse prevention services.
