Massachusetts presumptive Senator Stan Rosenberg and Governor Elect Charlie Baker have yet to talk about the state’s budget gap, but the two top state leaders have consulted on other matters.
Rosenberg and Baker have had several conversations, just not about he budget. Rosenberg says he and the governor-elect, who takes office in less than a month, have been talking about other items.
“We’ve been focusing on transition-related issues,” Rosenberg said Monday in Amherst. “Talked briefly about energy and energy prices, given that people are starting to see this dramatic increase in their electrical bills. And we’ve agreed we have to work together to find some kind of solution to this.”
It’s been almost two weeks since the Boston Globe reported that Rosenberg’s partner had allegedly used Twitter to mock outgoing senate president Therese Murray.
When asked if the incident has impacted his work, Rosenberg said he’s been meeting since then with colleagues and they’re all excited for the new term.
