Massachusetts voters will have four ballot questions to decide on during November’s election. That’s after the final round of signatures from voters were turned in and approved by the secretary of state this week.

The proposal repealing the state’s casino law will be designated as Question 3 on the ballot. Secretary of State Bill Galvin says each side for this and every question will have a chance to give a 150 word statement on their position, which will be printed in a pre-election booklet.

“In the case of casino gambling, there is no group that is organized in favor of casino gambling quite yet, so I designated the mayor of Springfield, Mr. (Domenic) Sarno, to write the argument that will appear in the booklet,” Galvin says.

Those statements will released to voters later this summer. As for the other initiatives, Question 1 asks voters whether to eliminate a law which ties the state’s gas tax to inflation. Question 2 is a proposal seeking to expand the state’s bottle bill. And Question 4, if passed, would guarantee earned sick time for Massachusetts employees.
