As the question of what to do about Syria moves to the United Nations, many Syrians who fled and now live in America are waiting to see how the world will help their country.  

According to 2011 numbers from the Census Bureau, 150,000 Syrians live in the U.S. Approximately 10,000 of them live in Connecticut and Massachusetts.  

Among them are Abdul Abdulbaki, a fellow at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut, and Abdullah Chahin, a fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Both left Syria years ago, both are in their early 30s and both are concerned about what the future holds for their country. They spoke Thursday to reporter Brian Scott-Smith.

Doctor Abdulbaki talked about the effect of the war on his family.
