The film My Mexican Shiva is at the Pioneer Valley Jewish Film Festival next week. The story focuses the death of Moishe, a beloved family patriarch. My Mexican Shiva is based on a novella by Ilan Stavans, a professor of Latin American studies at Amherst College. WFCR’s Charlene Scott spoke with Stavans about his work.
