Manuel Frau Ramos

Manuel Frau Ramos is co-founder and editor of the bilingual newspaper founded in 2004, El Sol Latino. He has a BA and MA in Economics from the University of Puerto Rico, and MA and Ph.D. in Education from UMass Amherst. He taught at the Department of Business Administration and the Graduate School of Public Administration, both at the University of Puerto Rico. From 1990-2007 he was an assistant professor in the School of Education at UMass Amherst. Frau-Ramos is currently working with a group of Puerto Rican artists and entrepreneurs in two new cultural projects in Holyoke:  the Primer Encuentro de Pleneros, and the Puerto Rican Cultural Project.
