New England Public Radio and the Academy of Music Theatre are back this year with the second season of our Valley Voices Story Slam! This week, “Stranger,” recorded live last month at the Northampton Brewery.
David Bulley stole the show with a story of one of his family’s more unorthodox vacations… when a hitchhiker named Kevin jumped in the car to join the fun. Listen here to catch our runner ups as well, as Kevin McVey plays the hero and Dan Lynch has a perplexing visit with his Aunt Gert.
Our final Story Slam of the season will be held next April at Gateway City Arts in Holyoke! Tickets are already sold out, but we’re still looking for storytellers – learn more about how to audition your first line here.
Be sure to check back with us soon to catch the rest of this season, and for more from our Valley Voices Podcast. Thanks again to all our storytellers and all the listeners who came out to join us, we look forward to seeing you soon at our next event!
