Adelle Davis was born on February 25, 1904, and lived until May 31, 1974. She was an American author who wrote about nutrition, and was an advocate of unprocessed foods and vitamin supplementation. She faced both praise and criticism in the national spotlight, as some of her beliefs were not backed by scientific findings.
