Since 2010, Wilco has hosted Solid Sound at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This summer, the band celebrated 20 years of making music together during the festival in North Adams, MA. One of the galleries open to festival goers on the Mass MoCA campus was the Interactive Wilco Timeline, where fans were invited to contribute their own memories to the band’s twenty year history.

NEPR’s AudioFiles was there to capture some of those memories, to look back on the past two decades of music through the voices of fans, friends, and family. Visit 20yearsofwilco.tumblr to hear more.

Thanks to all the team at Solid Sound: Tony Margherita Management, MASS MoCA, Austin Nelson Photography, Nate Duval, Pete Cardoso, Nicole Blauw, and Jose Garcia
