Wander through the city of Springfield and it won’t be long before you come across a spot where you can get a quick trim. You’ll find seven different barbershops within a five block radius in downtown Springfield. Each plays a significant role in the community, far more than just a place to get cleaned up. We visited one, “Springfield’s Barbershop” on Bridge Street, managed by local barber Andre Acevedo. The barbershop is a special place for many here in the city – a “getaway” as one of the crew at Bridge St. told me. Here, we share with you a collection of sounds brought back from an afternoon we spent there.
