Craig Nelson is passionate about poetry. He runs Northampton Poetry, an organization that hosts open mics and fosters community through poetry. In this interview, he discusses what got him started with poetry and what the open mic means to him and the community. Northampton Poetry’s weekly open mics are lively and supportive: readers share poignant, personal, and engaging original works. After the open mic, the evening continues with either a slam or a featured poet.
