Author and illustrator Grace Lin of Florence, Massachusetts, is out with the fourth book in her early reader series about Chinese-American twins. “Ling and Ting: Together in All Weather” follows their adventures — and misadventures — through the seasons.
Lin said that when she first came up with the idea for the characters, she worried it would reinforce the stereotype that all Asians look alike. So she put the idea on the back-burner until something happened one day at a book-signing that changed her mind.
